On September 17, 2018, the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) announced the approval by its voting membership of three new rules to extend the capabilities of the Same Day Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment system. These new rules are being introduced following a previous request for comment where industry players provided feedback on proposals to increase operational hours and transaction amount limits, as well as the adoption of a third processing window.
