In November 2016, deputies Eduardo Pablo Amadeo and Daniel Andres Lipovetzky introduced before the Chamber of Deputies a bill seeking to amend Law 25.065/1999, which regulates credit card, debit card and purchasing card systems. This bill seeks to, among other things, prohibit exclusivity agreements between acquiring institutions and administrators of open systems for credit and debit card transactions.
