On August 3, 2018, Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) published Circular no. 3.907, regulating a local currency payment system established and agreed between the BCB and the Central Bank of Paraguay. The system will allow Brazilian and Paraguayan users to carry out payment transactions in the two countries in their respective currencies.
