A member of Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies has submitted a bill that would extend the definition of illegal gambling in the country to specifically include online sports betting. Taking the UIGEA as a model, the measure would also subject credit card companies and other payment processors to additional fines on top of potential criminal charges.
