On August 14, 2017 the Portuguese government announced the entry into force of amendments to the Project Decree on the Final Text No. 261/XIII/1(PPS) and 206/XIII/1(BE), which specify that transactions involving amounts equal to or greater than €3,000 must be carried out by other means of payment than cash, for example, bank transfer.
