Ontario’s lottery retailers could be barred from playing lottery games altogether if the Ontario Lottery&Gaming Corporation (OLG) fails to demonstrate improvement in its anti-retailer fraud policies within six months, an ombudsman said yesterday. The remarks came after an independent audit showed ‘insiders’ claimed nearly C$200m in Ontario lottery prizes between 1995 and 2008, almost double OLG’s original estimates.
