Colombian gaming regulator ETESA has been handed greater powers to oversee the consolidation of the country’s gambling sector, in accordance with a new decree signed into law by President Álvaro Uribe last month. New limits are to be placed on gaming machine numbers, and ETESA also plans to unveil further regulations covering technical standards and testing in the coming months.
