The United Kingdom left the European Union on January 31, 2020 and is currently subject to an ongoing transition period while additional arrangements are negotiated. The transition period will expire on December 31, 2020 and without an agreement in place the ability for UK-based financial institutions to offer financial services to EU customers on a cross-border basis will end.
