Since its inception in 2004, the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations has become an effort of global proportions, placing sustainability development at the forefront of national policy agendas. Financial institutions and corporations need to, therefore, manage information regarding ESG in a positive manner, while keeping abreast of regulatory developments as they occur. In doing so, they will be perceived as responsible, able to mitigate risks, maintain their reputation and, as a result, could be rewarded financially.
