As part of our ongoing series on the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), this readiness guide is aimed at helping affected businesses and organisations meet initial and ongoing reporting requirements prescribed by the CSRD and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Under the CSRD, large companies and public-interest entities already subject to the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) were required to produce a sustainability report by January 1, 2025 that covers the 2024 financial year. The directive is part of the larger European Green Deal, which is a set of policies that aim to make the EU climate neutral by 2050. The CSRD will replace the former NFRD.
