On December 31, 2018, the Serious Crimes and Counter-Terrorism (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2018 was published in the government gazette. The act seeks to amend the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act (CDSA) and the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act (TSOFA) to strengthen the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) framework and criminalise the laundering of benefits from serious criminal offences.
