On March 20, 2017 Senator Ben Kieckhefer introduced before the Nevada Senate a bill which seeks to set out the legal basis for the use of blockchain-based records and contracts in the state. The bill seeks to introduce measures to prevent local authorities from imposing fees or taxes on the use of a blockchain technology. This act would become effective upon passage and approval.
